Sardaforme snc packs and delivers a wide range of Sardinian cheeses.
The cheeses shown in these pages are our most important products, those that give us international appreciation.
Under this point of view, the "ricotta" (made from whey drained away from curd used to make another cheese and recooked to make another cheese -ricotta means recooked in Italian) holds a prominent position in our production, and it is available in the salted kind and in the fresh kind, in vacuum packs of whole cheese or slices.
Our "ricotta" is packed in cuts of weight depending on customer's choice, and is boxed in packets of 4 wholes, for a total weight of about 12 kilos.

The most important Sardinian cheeses are recorded since 1951 in the enclosures of International Stresa Agreement concerning the utilization of denomination of origin and the cheeses marks.
In recent years, to "Fiore Sardo", "Pecorino Sardo" and "Pecorino Romano" has been recognized the title of D.O.P (Denomination of Protected Origin).
This is an important recognition, which the European Union awards only to products whose qualities spring exclusively from a defined geographical area, where they are manufactured, converted from row materials into finished products.
The decree regulates the production and defines the physical-chemical and organoleptic characteristics of the products, moreover it provides the employment of the mark, assigned to products which respect this definition.
Sardinia is the only region in Italy that can boast three "Pecorino" cheeses with D.O.P mark.
